5 Minutes Free Writing - Pig Auction
Good morning all, doing my 5 minutes free writing with prompt - Pig Auction. Hope you enjoy the story.
My country does not have pig auction, at least I have not heard of such trade. Auction in my opinion and impression stays at auction of art pieces, land and some valuable ancient stuff that's in good condition. The price tag are usually high.
Pig Auction, although I have not participate in one before, I imagine it to be taking place in a marketplace on a busy afternoon. People would crowd around in the central square, waiting with their cages for their trophies later.
Organizer would bring out these models one by one. Let's remember these are live stocks, although they look almost the same it they are still uniquely different just like how each of us is unique and different.
Each one of these bidders would start by raising their hand and make their offer. Organizers, for their profit, would drag the last call in an attempt to raise and encourage the next higher bid. Each highest bidder would move to the counter to pay the dues and collect the pig. This would usually last 1-2 hours till each pig get their owner.
Am I close to the real deal or am I fair from reality?
