Good morning all, doing my 5 minutes free writing with prompt - Not so tolerant now. Hope you enjoy the story.
"The new leadership is not so tolerant now" a consensus feeling on the ground now.
Isn't it a common scene that a new leadership in a new environment or in a new position would usually be very tolerant in the very beginning, as they are new to the team or new in the position. While trying to understand the team or to gain the trusy of the team, generally going down hard and with an iron fist would usually cause tension and respect would be harder to earn.
As I have said multiple times in other posts, a leader without the support and respect of his / her report fails, as he leads a team and naturally his KPI would be that achievable as a team of many individual.
But as a member of the team, we too need to understand that such tolerance is usually short lived and would not usually be something of a norm. If all's too relax, leadership would have to guard against losing authority to the ground. After all, authority is granted to them to lead a team and not to be led by the team.
