5 Minutes Free Writing - Not Your Onions
Good morning all, doing my 5 minutes free writing with prompt - Not Your Onions. Hope you enjoy the story.
Just as Jackie is walking home after a 12 hours shift, ready to begin his holiday, he turned into the usual alley that is usually silent. This is a short cut that leads to the carpark where he parks his bike.
But today, a group of rowdy teenager broke the silence in the alley, a group of 5 surrounded a young couple at the other end of the alley, for reason unknown to Jackie, 2 of them break away from the group to approach Jackie.
"It would be better for you to take another route today, it's not your onion" said one guy with a tattoo on his underarm.
Jackie explained that he is retrieving his bike from the carpark across and had no intention to stick his nose in. Despite that, they are still unwilling to yield blocking him.
Now, Jackie decided that it's no longer not his onion, he decided to peel the onion as he's a police detective, despite being off shift, he has the responsibility to maintain law and order.
So he took out his phone, calls for backup, flashed his warrant card, and swiftly takes down the 2 of them, the rest hearing this commotion comes forward, but it's too late, before they realize police backup arrived and takes them all back to the station. This is when they realize they messed with the wrong guy.
