Today is the 50th anniversary charity dinner for Light of Hope charity. A lot of preparation and anticipation has gone into this one, especially as this year is a tough one given the global economy uncertainty the world is experiencing right now.

Application for assistance has went up 2 folds while donation received is gradually declining, even the staffs are leaving as running a charity organization does not leave much budget for high salary.

But founder Leon is still hopeful as he recalls the young days where he was down to the penny due to a bad investment decision leaving him without his car, home and young family. When he's despair, his co founder Jon light the way for him when he's offered 2 free meals daily till he picks himself up by getting himself employed and received his pay after a long while.

Thus, they decided to pay it forward to Society with Light of Hope and their mission is to Light the Way for the current lost.

Tears flow down his face as he reads the above off his opening speech that he spent hours preparing. It's painful to recount a sad moment of life but he's grateful to be able to help light up the way for those currently facing darkness. Applause around when Leon took a deep bow after his speech.
