Hard, an interesting word with multiple context when used in different situations. So when were told "it's not that hard" how our mind interpret the statement also largely depends on our experience or what we believe in. Today, let's take a look at some different scenarios of it's not that hard.

When given a rock to smash against an egg and we were told it's not that hard, firstly, we will believe it's not that hard a task to accomplish. Firstly, we would all agree in term of material hardness, a rock is harder than an egg and force we need to apply to smash an egg with rock would not be a lot.

Where else, right before an examination, if we had not been paying attention regularly in class for the semester, even when the teacher tells us, it's not that hard, without looking at the paper, we would not believe it, no physics, no measurements of material hardness, just by staring at the question and to pen down our answer on a piece of paper would consume as much energy as running 10km maybe.

So it's not that hard really depends on the situation we receive the statement and the level of hardness varies individual to individual although they have the same value on a standard measurement system.
