Good morning all, doing my 5 minutes free writing with prompt - Guardian. Hope you enjoy the story.
"Tom, please get your guardian to the school tomorrow" requested the form teacher.
Why guardian instead of parents? As Tom's parents are undergoing divorce proceeding, thus his grandparents are currently acting as his guardian, the legal age to be considered adult in his country is 21, which obviously tom has yet to attain.
Tom's grades at school has nosedive quite badly, as we can understand, he must be affected by his parents' divorce, thus his form teacher is showing concern and trying to help out his guardian.
Children, at times due to unforseen or unfortunate events, went into the care of guardians. It's a situation that we need to monitor as guardian is taking on extra responsibility for caring for someone.
Ideally, the guardian of choice is someone the child knows and is close to, comfortable to be with, after all, placing a child in the care of a guardian is an effort hoping the young will get the care they need at their age, especially when they are not old and mature enough to decide for themselves.
Not everyone is ready to be guardian if appointed, do we all agree?
