"Hi, how do I get to the administration block from here" Helen summon all her courage to ask the next passerby that walked past her, as she is rushing for her interview.

" Go straight and walk through that building, at the end, you will see an exit. Going through the archway, you will see it" replied the kind gentleman.

" Thank you!" Gestured Helen, and she's on her way.

After a good 5 minutes, she finally found the receptionist counter, after completing all the necessary paperwork, she found herself facing Donald, the gentleman who gave her direction this morning as her interviewer.

The archway is an interesting design that makes one go through a curve, but I think at times, it is a good way to force people to slow down their pace to look out for the other direction. Along the way, they can also display nice paintings, so the archway would not appear too plain, or just look white and dull. Hanging artwork or some intentional drawing also helps to prevent walls to turn moulding or some dirt stain feeling.

What comes to your mind when approaching an archway?
