In life, I think a lot of argument can be avoided. But at the same time, a lot of argument started because both parties or more are unwilling to convince one another of their views and standpoint.

In a logical society which we are, we should be talking about logic and reason rationally. Everything works in a certain manner because it follows a set of discovery or a set of define rule that is universal.

For example, what are we rooted to the ground on Earth, we all agreed or in most cases, born and taught to accept there's gravity on Earth. Where else astronauts floats on Moon for the lack of gravitational pull.

For newer ideas, where it's not widely proven or in the initial stage of proofing. The originator would have to convince me of the truth behind, no argument is needed, facts can speak for itself. That's why reading published paper in established journal is a good way of gathering facts as these authors would have spent months or years researching and proving their theory.

Therefore, next time when someone said to us "Convince Me" we should be happy that he or she is likely to be reasonable.
