Good morning all, doing my 5 minutes free writing with prompt - A Funny Tradition. Hope you enjoy the story.
Traditions are ways of doing things leave behind by our elderly or even traditions for a whole village or a whole race. We generally abides by traditions we were taught as there are knowledge and wisdom contain in them, they are to be respected. To think in older days or even ancient time, with less developed technology and tools, they were able to derive with these rules and traditions by observation or worse manual calculation and label when computing power were yet to be discover or is limited.
While some traditions are sombre and serious, one that comes to my mind is how a sumo tournament is conducted and how a sumo wrestler is expected to don a specific hairstyle, dress a certain way and even live by a certain routine, adopt a name from a list of names etc can soud rigid and taunting to some, but not those in the tradition.
Flip side, some traditions are interesting and lightweight, for example, a funny tradition is one like the La Tomatina, a tomato smashing tradition in the town of Buñol, Spain on the last Wednesday of August annually. For an hour, people engage in a wild fun tomatoes smashing and you can see the laughters on their faces.
Can our friends here who have experience it share your experience or photos with us?
