Overcoming my biggest fear.

Yes I overcame my fears and traveled home for the holidays.

Previously, I shared a post about the insecurity in my hometown and how I was afraid to travel home for the holidays. I will leave a link to that post in the comment section.

Hello Hive fam! Permit me to start by wishing you a happy and prosperous new year. 2025 looks like it's going to be an amazing year. I hope we all find joy and fulfillment this year.

I have not posted here in a while because I was holidaying in my Daddy's house! Lol….
The actual reason why I didn't get to make a post is the slow network connection at home.

So because I'm married, I had to find a balance this holiday. I decided to spend Christmas in my city of residence, since my husband's family, are also residents here.

We spent Christmas here with my husband and my inlaws, then we traveled home the day after Christmas. That way we celebrated the new year at home.

When I say “we”, I mean my baby and I.

It was a very beautiful reunion and I was super excited to be home because it was my first time traveling home for the holidays since I got married.

Thankfully, what I feared the most about traveling didn't happen. Although I heard of a few communities that were attacked during the celebrations, it was peaceful and full of so much fun in my own hometown.

Sights from the events and displays to mark the new year.

Although it was not the same as it used to be, I made sure I enjoyed myself to the fullest. I had the chance to eat all the nice native delicacies I missed. Dishes like masa, awara, kwaddo and beans.

I visited friends and relatives, the fun places I love at home, place like the hill, the stream which serves pipe borne water to the entire community and a lot of other places that I was unable to take pictures of.

I enjoyed all the fun that comes with the festives, and I am glad I did.

Let's not talk about my baby girl who is the first and only grandchild of my parents for now, and all the pampering she enjoyed. I must confess that I almost got jealous because she got all of my dad's attention. We also got to visit her my Grandma who's her great Grandma. I was so happy to see her looking a little stronger than she was the last time I saw her.

Some fun moments

Overall, it was all fun, i didn't want it to end, but it had to. But then I look forward to more of it soon.

Thank you for stopping by.
