Some community norms are very good and worthy of emulation. I ones stayed in a community during my school days, it was their norm that on a sanitation day, every person ( indigen and non- indigen ) living in the community must partake in the community sanitation.

When I moved in there newly, I never thought it was something that serious. One Saturday morning which was the community sanitation day, I was still in my room sleeping, being that I slept late the previous night due to late night reading. When it was about 7:30am , I heard a knock on my door, I thought it was my next door neighbor, I never knew it was the community youths. How they managed to know that someone was inside is what I don't know.

When I heard the first knock I didn't respond, the second and third knock was too loud , that was when I knew that they meant business and they knew someone was inside the room.

At that point, I remember the scripture that says " wisdom is profitable to direct " 🤣🤣 , immediately I made use of the scripture. I picked up my wrapper covered all over my body and started coughing while I approach and open the door. When they saw me , the look on their faces was not nice and mine was not welcoming either. Today is sanitation and you are still inside they said, I am not strong health wise, I responded. Without much queries they left. I went back in and was smiling. 🤣🤣🤣

The next sanitation I was the first in my compound to go out.

Thanks for reading , I am @nsigo1
