TO MAKE OUR SOCIETY WORK, WE MUST BE INTENTIONAL IN MAKING IT WORK
So it was a busy day a bit, that I got to visit places and attended to activities.
After work , I arrived home and freshen up, getting ready to attend and anchor the birthday event that my friend invited me to and also the grand opening of her foundation.
When I left home , it was not raining, so I arrived the event venue on time, and about after some minutes the event started and it was fun fun fun. While the event was going on, it was cloudy and windy , not quite long it started raining heavily. Well I didn't really feel the impact of the rain not until I was about leaving after the event.
So it got to when I was about leaving, the rain had subside, but checking outside, it was floody, wow, how are we going to go back home now, I asked my friend. well we pulled out our shoes enter the water, on getting to the main road, the flood was terrible, one could hardly recognize where a cutter was located, because everywhere was flooded. People where trekking back home in the water as some vehicles had packed for safety reasons. So I also trekked back.
Now the funny thing is that, on my way back, a lot of people were throwing blames on the governor/government. Saying all manner of things, that the government claims to construct roads, yet everywhere is still flooded. I laughed. why was I laughing, it was because I knew that the actions of humans also to some extent contributed to the flood, ranging from building in water ways, dumping refuse in the gutter even after being warned by the government not to do so. So I just laughed and go to my house.
But early this morning, I stepped out to get some stuff in a nearby store the road was a bit litared because the rain had, pushed out all dirts from the gutter to the main road and in front of people's shop, guess what ? they were all sweeping it back into the gutter . I laughed again, bacause all these things assist in blocking the drainage and thereby causing flood. Even when it's raining you will see people coming out from their house with their waste bin and dispose them inside the gutter and in the water ways. They forget that they are the contributory factor to the flood, but chanel all blames to the government.
