On that fateful day, I was still in year three. I noticed that money was not forthcoming from home as expected.

My dad visited and stayed for a few minutes, and when he was about leaving he told me, “Nsi, any money that you see now, just try as much as you can to manage it, because I have retired and funds are no longer coming in as before.”
At that moment I understood everything and wished he had never retired.
