At a certain point, people were instructed not to go out, not to gather in groups, and not to meet without wearing a nose mask. They were also advised to use hand sanitizers regularly.
However, many people did not believe the warnings and some even took the situation as a joke. It became so serious that law enforcement agencies had to get involved, even going as far as disrupting church services that failed to comply with the COVID-19 guidelines. It was only after the situation was advertised in the local newspapers that people began to take it seriously.

When I heard about COVID-19, I didn't take it seriously because I'd never heard of it before. My dad told me about it, and I told him people lie because there's nothing like it until we start seeing it on TV, in newspapers, and everywhere on the internet. Seriously, haha! Thank God everything is calm now. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
