Read If You're A Fan of The Disorganized

Rather ironic, I must say.

That this is the one thing that brings me back on Hive.

Not the family I used to have here, not my poetic freedom, not even the overwhelmingly powerful longing I’ve had for the last few weeks to write something other than work related stuff.

It’s this. This brings me back.

And I have no words to explain how it feels to be back.

Maybe not back per se. I can’t bring myself to predict how long I’ll be here.
But being able to do this. Just write. It’s exhilarating.

Even though the final straw that broke the camel’s back isn’t one of the most ideal things.

When I came back on here, the first thing I did was to check the communities, see those that were still functional, and unsubscribe from the dormant ones. A task that is harder than it looks, and left my tummy in knots for some reason.

Things look the same but feel a lot different from what I’m used to. Maybe I’m not accurately describing things as they are. But yeah, let’s just see how it goes.

It will surprise you to know that I wrote the last paragraph, and every other paragraph before almost a week ago. It was a different time, then, and there were a plethora of emotions I was feeling at the time which I no longer feel now. So, it feels a bit less authentic trying to write this piece with the same energy, but I owe it to myself to continue regardless. Not the same emotions, though, but at least the same person.

Anyway, nothing sad or enraging or upsetting has happened to me because you do know that creative writing just like poetry is at its fullest when there is a spontaneous overflow of emotions. I feel quite numb, to say the very least, so you can already guess that it’s impossible for my numbness to overflow, lol.

However, I suppose I can talk about my numbness. There’s so much to rant about, so much that weighs on my mind, so much that gets me so royally furious, but when the anger is all spent, all the raging emotions overcome, there’s this hollowness I feel that subsists for a long time.

I’m sure this must be the most uncoordinated ramble you’ve read in a while, so I will, most kindly, spare you the horrors of reading any more of my reflections. At least until I get it together, and come up with something more creative, as it is compelling and well put together. I’ll also probably stash this in a community that I have the most liberty, which is code for “I hope no one gets to read this.”

I’m so glad I got to do this, though. For the second time, it’s such a pleasure being on Hive once more.

Talk to you all soon, people.
