Recently, in the scope of my work, I really felt exposed. There are so many issues that occur with this recent job assignment and somehow I am expected to the tenth layer to absorb 90% of the incoming damage and mitigate whatever that is left to ensure that the program is on track.

And often I wonder, why is it that I have to be that tenth layer, where are the one to nine layers in front of me? Is there a system bug or something that everytime problem happens, I will have to be involved and bring a solution to the team or prevent failures from exacerbating. There are so many abled men in the program but none can be useful enough to solve problems. It seem to become a convenience and people just try to avoid managing. I guess, sometimes we need to let things fall and not save others to let them have a taste of being the one to fail the project.
