It's been a very long while since I visited my grand aunt. And because it was the Chinese New Year period, I decided to pay her a visit and send her my new year wishes in person. She had been living in this 3 room flat ever since I visited her when I was young.

As I went in, I saw the familiar furniture that didn't change for the longest of time. Grand aunt is a very thrifty and frugal woman whom typically save up and do not spend on things unless it is totally non functional.

And true enough when I visited the kitchen, I found that she is still living with that cabinet that had the door hinge broken. I asked if I can buy a new cabinet for her, she immediately reject me and said that it is still working fine, no need to spend money and leave the money for better use.

Guess she is still her old self and I will be better to her in other ways than to convince her to change out her things at home.
