As a supervisor of a small team, sometimes we would want to reward our team and give them a little welfare to thank them for their efforts. But the thing is that, this is something that only being given within the team at the supervisor's discretion.

However, there are always insensitive people within the team whom just can't contain their joy when such special welfare is given to them. They will share it with their friends in the company or colleagues in another department. And this will lead to envy and comparison amongst organization.

The end result, welfare being taken away and everyone get affected. Lose-lose situation and hard to revive such practice in view of potential complains and comparisons. So now, whenever I would like to administer team welfare for my small team, it will always start with, "No publicity please! Do not share this with your friends or other people not within our team."
