All, doing a 5 minute freewrite. Thank you for reading.

As Jack was working, he encountered something difficult and he did not know how to solve. It is seemingly urgent but he chose not to engage it because to him it is not exactly a big issue. And he also remembered during the first day of his work, his supervisor told him, "If it's not critical, then no hurry to complete the work and no need to trigger his supervisor."
And so he just sit on it and a few days passed till someone from another department came knocking and asked why no one acted on this work.
To Jack's horror, he really underestimated the urgency of the work. He assumed too much and thought it is not important and being new, such critical tasks will not be given to him. But considering how the guy from another department looked, he knew he got into some form of trouble. And he had no choice but to trigger his supervisor.
I guess what Jack learned is that, while he might not know how to do things, it is still best to consult others and asked on how urgent a particular piece of work could be.
