One of the most important trait in a leader is credibility. This is the fundamental aspect to whether or not, the people you lead will take your lead. Many leaders fail to establish this or hold up to what they have committed to their team and credibility starts to crumble.

While credibility takes a while to build up, failure to deliver what was committed will just whatever built up in a few moments. And this is the reason why, many new and young leaders fail to establish and have a team to fight alongside them during the toughest of times.

Many often over promise things beyond their own span of control and end up subordinates always come back with disappointment or long durations of waiting in vain. No trust is established and employees will just try to get without committing additional efforts to do it good.

Leaders, start looking on how to establish good credibility and stop using your subordinates as your stepping stone to glory. Spend some time, rebuild that trust and lead engaged and committed teams.
