It had been months since the taskforce set up to catch the cross border syndicate whom had been committing all sorts of crimes such as drug trafficking, illegal gambling and even vapes. The team had tried all they could and managed to catch one of the supposedly top man of this syndicate.
While they manage to catch this man, but they can't find the evidence to press charges against him. Based on intelligence that they've gathered, they know this guy definitely is one of the leaders of this syndicate but somehow there is no clear association which can link him to the syndicate.
Even by heavy questioning with some form of torturing of the underlings that have been caught, no one said anything that could lead to associating that man with the syndicate.
And because 48 hours had passed, without any proper evidence to press charges, they had to let this man go. As as the man left the police station, he let out a grin because the police could do nothing about him.
