What I Planted Without Knowing

I was chatting with one of my friends from secondary school, and she told me that I told her something back then when we were still in school that changed a lot of things about how she sees herself. I have even forgotten I said something to her. But whatever it was, I believe that it is helping her, because it has left me in a way.

I didn't bother myself asking her because our conversation left me thinking deep about all the seeds I had scattered without any awareness of where they landed.

A lot of us, or lemme say some of us, always believe that we always need preparation and intention when planting. Some people always wait for the perfect time until they think they are ready.

But in the real sense, seeds don't always fall that way. From our conversation, in the way we turn up for others, in that little help that we render when no one is paying attention, yeah! That is how seeds scatter.

Just as we have the good side of this. We also have the bad side. The careless words also scatter. That negative talk, the harsh words, those comparisons, and dismissal or even offhand comments, they all have where they land when scattered.

And this is why all those gentle, loud, and quiet moments can define the types of seeds that we are planting. And at the end of the day, we never can tell where those seeds landed and where they are growing.
