In the cold of the night that day. I heard a knock on my door. Deep sleeping and tired. I wished the person knocked no more. Gently, the knock keep coming with a whisper, NASA, please open the door. Faintly, and reluctantly, I slowly got up and dilly dially, went to the door. Waiting once again to hear the knock no more . But there again, came the knock, this time with a resilient voice. NASA, NASA, NASA, its me, your mother, open the door.

Gently but frowning, I opned the door.
There stood my dear mother, in the dead of the night. Gently, she followed me like a lamb follows his shephered. We entered the room and I slipped into my bed while she sat on the edge of the bed backing me.
There was a long silence between us which kept me wondering what was going on.

Hush, her voice started calling me with a whisper, NASA, I am here to talk to you. You are growing up and soon will graduate from secondary school. You are becoming a woman and you need to build virtues along the tides of life.
Like a fire piercing through a plastic. I felt the words of a mother who does not want her daughter to be tagged a wayward and useless girl. I adjusted and moved beside her to the edge of the bed and she paused waiting for the noise of the Iron bed to subside before she continued.

She called me again, "NASA". A short form of my native name (Chinasa).
Do not stop wining, you have done well all these years in your academics, coming out among the best in exams, do not stop winning.
But failure happens out of non preparedness, do not loose focus and faith in yourself, There are days you may loose and there are days you may win. But when failure happens, it is meant to reshape you and remind you that you are a mere mortal. In the face of the failure, try again, with resilience, you will come back winning.

But NASA, Patience is a virtue and anger is a vice.
I will implore you to wear the clothe of patience, Do not be in a hurry to fame. Fame needs focus, consistency, resilience and influence. Depending on your ability to curry these ingredients, you will achieve fame. When life throws you lemon, do not keep it, collect the lemon and make lemonade with it. When it throw you bitterleaf, collect it and make Origin with it.
Settle within your heart that you will be great and make affirmations every day concerning it.

In the events of life this two ingredients of life can make or mar you.

Patience will make you when you are deligent and sleep over ideas without a rush. Anger will mar you when you are quick to talk, quick to judge and take uncalculated risks.

But no matter the path you have chosen, be courageous to remain focused and patience in the face of storm, challenges and weariness.

Always try to be on the right path because that is the only time you can make sense out of life
There are days when you will wake up unprovoked but yet angry without a cause. These are days you need to apply patience for in the midst of that unsettled anger, you will find peace if you remain calm....

As these words were coming and coming, in the coldness of the night, I heard my alarm ring.
Grigiringigngigjgng, I awake with an awe, only to realise that I had been dreaming.

My late mother just visited.
