The old generator is not very resilient.

Papa bought it in 2019. Since then it has carried this house. But now, small rain, it coughs. Small sun, it overheats. NEPA takes light and we beg it — please start.

Yesterday my little brother Chidi had exam online. We poured fuel, pulled rope, it shouted and went off. Chidi looked at me, eyes full of water. I had to run to neighbour to beg for their own.
