NO INTERNET, NO NETWORK, WHAT WILL WE DO?___ 27TH OCTOBER

When I saw today's prompt, the first thing that came to my mind was, what if internet really ends tomorrow....like imagine 🤔

I think my first day without internet will be the longest day of my life..... I will wake up in the morning and want to check WhatsApp, Instagram, Hive, but nothing will load. I will keep checking my data, thinking maybe my subscription finished. Then I will realize that it is not my phone, the whole internet is gone.

In my area here in Nigeria, people will gather at the junction and be discussing it. Mama Nkechi will say government has switched it off. Another person will say it is hackers. Nobody will really know what happened. Students will be confused because most assignments are online. Market women that sell on Instagram and WhatsApp will just sit down. Even POS people will have problem because their network depends on internet.

But after the initial shock, I think life will adjust. We will go back to how our parents lived. If you want to talk to somebody, you will walk to their house. If you want to buy something, you will go to main market. Children will come out and play outside again instead of watching phone. Families will sit together in the evening and tell stories, not everybody pressing phone in different corners.

Honestly, part of me is tired of internet noise. Every day you open phone, bad news, pressure, comparison. If internet ends, maybe our mental health will be better.

But I still need internet oh, especially for my Hive writing and learning. So I don't pray for it to end, but if it does end, we will find a way to continue living.
