The war between government forces and the rebel group went on for days without abating. Aerial battles and landmines were the major ways with which the government forces usually use to neutralise the rebel group.

Jamal, who has been hiding in the house with his family of five refused to come out of hiding, otherwise he will be conscripted to join the rebel group.

But having survived a week persistent shelling of his community, Jamal felt that it was time to migrate to "safer places". By midnight, Jamal gathered his family and stealthily made a dangerous pass from the backside of the community. That was the only landed escape route.

As he was surreptitiously moving with his family, he silently pray for the rebel raiders not to meet them on their way. Jamal got to a point where he could not longer recognize the path to follow. After pausing for about three minutes he made up his mind to follow the left path and after trekking for about five minutes Jamal and his family stumbled on a supposedly bridge that leads to nowhere. Jamal, filled with the zeal to survive against all odds made the dangerous pass with his family.

Luckily for him and the family they burst out to an open field that apparently leads to a government organised IDP Camp.
