It’s not as hard as you think.

There's a certain illusion people like to hold on to, that life is unbearably complex, that success is reserved for the lucky, and that consistency is some rare talent only a few possess. But the truth is far less dramatic. Most of the things we struggle with are not as hard as we make them seem. For example waking up early is not that hard. Staying disciplined is not that hard. Even chasing a goal, step by step, is not that hard. Then what makes it hard?

What makes it impossible is not the task itself, but the weight of hesitation, over thinking, and the sweet comfort of delay. We negotiate with ourselves, pave way to procrastination and then blame difficulty for our lack of movement.

From my own experience trading forex, I've realised that success doesn't come from doing extraordinary things. It comes from doing simple things over and over again with patience and control, trust me the patience part is more demanding than it seems because you are waiting for the right opportunity and time is money, time is not on your side you don't even have the time to wait because the more I wait the more bills pile up, the more necessity creeps up, but yet I am compelled to wait, follow a plan, and manage risk. None of these are complex but executing them consistently? That's where most people fall short. Not because it's hard, but because it requires honesty and self-control.

There's also a quiet fear of discomfort. People avoid what feels unfamiliar, even when it leads to growth. We tell ourselves we'll start tomorrow, or when conditions are perfect, not realising that the farmer doesn't wait for the perfect weather before he sows his seed. The longer we wait, the heavier the task appears, even though nothing about it has actually changed.

We often look for shortcuts, for something that feels easier than discipline. But in reality, avoiding the work only makes things harder in the long run. The irony is clear; what we call "hard" is usually just what we are unwilling to commit to.

It's not that hard to change your life. Start small, stay consistent, be honest with yourself. The formula is simple even if the execution demands effort.

At some point, you have to stop convincing yourself that it's difficult and start proving to yourself that it isn't.

Thanks for stoping by my blog.
