Toxic Mineral Spirits. This Week I’ll Work in Acrylic.

Man Stopped On Path to Smoke in the Freshing Mountain Air 2026. Oil on paper, 18 x 24"

Well, once again the air here is summer fresh and clean. Storms came in yesterday and washed the wildfire particulates back into the earth. Unfortunately, I’ve taken in too many mineral spirits in the studio, and today I feel a bit toxic sick. I will take the advice of Rose and @jompiy and keep away from paint thinners for a couple weeks. I need to try washing my oily brushes with soap and water, like Edgeworth. Meanwhile, this week I’ll make acrylic paintings. I’m curious to see the change that is most certainly to come with the new paint medium. The last time I painted with it was on March 12. Maybe I’ll be able to make more paintings and earn a couple days vacation. Here are some more from this week. Thanks for having a look!
