Old anime had a special and distinctive character, something you could feel had a different spirit than what we watch now. Also, the stories back then were deeper, focusing on strong emotions and meanings, not just action and speed like today. Even if the graphics were simple, the magic in them still lives on with us, and every time we go back to watch it, we feel a beautiful nostalgia that takes us back to the good old days.
This anime presents mecha battles in a tactical and strategic manner not just attacks and explosions. The story includes a political plot interplanetary conflicts and characters facing difficult challenges.
The events take place in a future world when humans discovered advanced technology called Aldnoah on Mars. This technology gave the Martian inhabitants, known as the Vers Empire, a terrifying advantage over Earth's inhabitants. After a period of peace, a crisis occurred when Princess Asseylum of Vers tried to broker a truce with Earth, but things got out of control, and a war broke out between Earth and Mars.
The main protagonist, Inaho Kaizuka, is not just an ordinary pilot as he is a brilliant mind on the battlefield. Although Earth has weak robots compared to Vers Inaho relies on planning and strategy to turn the tables in every battle. On the other hand, we have Slaine Troyard, whose life is very complicated, and his relationship with Princess Asilom causes him problems between Earth and Farseen.
The anime features unique mecha battles, each one relying more on thought and tactics than direct force. Each episode offers excitement, new challenges, and clever solutions, keeping viewers excited to see how Inaho will confront his technologically superior enemies.
The anime is made with very strong art quality, especially in the mecha battles, and the soundtrack adds an epic, dramatic feel to each scene. The opening and ending songs are also excellent gives a sense of power and mystery.
Aldnoah.Zero isn't just a mecha anime as it's an anime about intelligence and political conflict and If you enjoy stories involving military planning and exciting battles based on strategy so this anime should definitely be on your list.
