Short But Insane _ Chainsaw Man Review

Okay, so let me just say this first… this anime is not normal ,at all, and I mean that in the best way possible.

I went into Chainsaw Man thinking it was just another action anime with fighting and all those usual “save the world” vibes, but this one is very different, from the first episode, you already see that the main character, Denji, is not your typical hero, this guy is literally just trying to survive, no big dreams of becoming the strongest or saving humanity, he just wants basic things like food, a decent life, and honestly… even small things like affection, It is almost funny at first, but then it starts to feel real.

What really caught my attention is how raw everything feels, Denji’s life is actually sad if you think about it, he is in debt, struggling, and doing dangerous jobs just to stay alive, then everything changes when he becomes Chainsaw Man, and from there, the anime just keeps getting more intense, the fights are brutal, like actually brutal, not the kind where people just shout and power up, when things happen here, you feel it.

And then there are the characters, see I won’t even lie, this anime has some very interesting personalities, Makima especialy, there is just something about her that feels off, but you cannit fully explain it, she’s calm, controlled, and somehow always in charge, then there is Power, who is just chaotic in the funniest way possible, she brings this kind of wild energy that makes some scenes feel lighter, even when things are already dark.

But what I really like is how the anime mixes everything together, one moment you are watching something funny, the next moment it becomes serious, and before you even adjust, something crazy happens, It keeps you on edge, you can’t really predict where it’s going, and I like that.

Also, the animation is very clean, the fight scenes are smooth, detailed, and honestly satisfying to watch, there is this cinematic feel to it that makes it stand out from a lot of other anime, even the soundtrack adds to the mood, It just pulls you in.

That being said, this is not an anime for everyone, because It is dark, a bit disturbing at times, and some parts might even make you uncomfortable, but if you like something different, something that breaks the usual anime formula, then this is definitely worth watching.

What really got me is that this show is so short like really short, It will sticks with you and it is just twelve episodes long but Chainsaw Man feels like it is a lot longer because so much happens, by the time Chainsaw Man ends you are already waiting to see what happens next with Chainsaw Man.

Overall I think Chainsaw Man is an anime that you cannot just watch when you have nothing to do. Chainsaw Man pulls you in, then it does things that you do not expect Chainsaw Man leaves you thinking about it even after you finish watching it, chainsaw Man is wild, It makes you feel a lot of emotions and it is even a little crazy, at times but that is what makes Chainsaw Man so great.
