Frieren : Beyond Journeys End. _ Travelling Through Time And Feelings.

Hello Anime Fans, welcome to my blog, and stay tuned for this review.
Frieren is an anime that doesn't shout for attention, it is indeed the opposite of a loud anime, It is calm, almost too quiet at first, like it is daring you to slow down and actually feel something, so I didn’t expect much while I was going in, but now that I have seen 12 episodes , I can already tell that this is one of those stories that will settle in and will refuse to leave.

So this story starts in a way that already kinda feels different, the big adventure was done, the Demon King had been defeated, then the heroes were already celebrated, and then life just continues. Frieren is an elf mage, who is part of this legendary group, but because she lives way longer than humans, what felt like a lifetime to her friends was just a short moment for her, so at first, she doesn’t even see the problem, till time passes, people age, people die… and Frieren always stays the same.

That was when the story really hits.

After losing Himmel, the hero, Frieren then slowly realizes that she never truly understood the people that' she traveled with, she was there, but she was not really present, so then, instead of another world saving quest, she goes on a journey to understand humans bring better, to understand their emotions, their bonds, their short lives.

Along the way, she takes in Fern, a quiet but strong apprentice, and later Stark joins them, what I like is how natural their bond feels, It is s not forced, and of courses It grows slowly, just like real relationships, you see small moments, sharing meals, walking together, visiting old towns and those moments somehow carry more big weight than big fight scenes.

Yeah.... don’t get me wrong, there are fights and magic, and when they happen, they are really clean and well done, But Frieren isn’t about action, it is about memories, You will see Frieren visit places she once passed through with her old party, and suddenly you realize decades have gone by,a child she met is now old, a village has changed,Someone who mattered is gone, and the anime doesnt rush these moments. It lets them breathe.

So truly, watching the first 12 episodes feels like reading a calm but emotional book, It is not trying to impress you loudly, It just slowly pulls you in, sometimes you do not even realize an episode hit you until it is over and you are justleft sitting there and thinking.

What really sold me here , is how the anime treats time, It makes you think about your own life, your own people, and how easy it is to say later until later never comes, Frieren’s quiet regret feels real, and her effort to do better this time feels honest.

So far, I am genuinely loving this anime, seriously, It is peaceful, emotional, and thoughtful, so If you are looking for something loud and fast, this seriously isn't it, but then, if you want an anime that stays with you even after the episode ends, Frieren is absolutely worth watching, funny thing is I am only 12 episodes in… and I already know I am sticking with it.

Frieren has a magic that is best depicted in this review. I appreciate how you put emphasis on time, remorse, and minute things rather than action. The manner in which relationships develop gradually is believable and natural. Reading this was the anime itself in a relaxing, meditative, and tender emotional state. And I am really now thinking of how soon I should see it again.
