Earlier today, we played the 13th round of the Saturday Hive Chess tournament. I had hoped to get paired with @justola1, but that didn’t happen. The games today were tougher. For a while, it felt like there were no lower-rated players, and I was in the midst of hungry tigers. The games were intense and challenging. I managed to grab 11 points, the same points as Justola. I finished 10th, while he finished 9th. Today, I lost more games than I won, but I guess it's all part of the journey - you lose some, you win some. As usual, I'll be reviewing some of my games in this post."
My first game was against Chessguy. We have played a total of 15 games, 13 wins to him and 2 to me. Today, I guess I played well and the game ended in a draw. We both played well without making obvious blunders. I guess he also wanted a draw because he kept repeating the same moves.

My first ever game against this player went well, I won. At first, I was skeptical about beserking them because I had not played with them before, but I decided to take the risk because I needed more points. This player is rated 1300+, but they play like they are higher, maybe 1500? I won the first game, but the next game we played, I lost.

Finally, this game caught my attention…
This particular game caught my attention. Of course, Madchess is a very strong player, but I was just surprised to see her beat Odnoobraz. So, I decided to watch the game. I think this game is the biggest upset today. I was surprised when Odnoob sacrificed his room for the opponent’s night, and I guess that’s where things started to go wrong. It still was a calculated move, but Madchess played better. She was strong till the end. Kudos!

His performance in the tournament was magnificent. I will also review the games he has so kindly shared with us, and I invite all chess-loving Hivers in the community to do the same. It would be a wise decision to analyze the level of play, make a diagnosis, and develop a plan for improvement. I always hope that within Hive, our conversations about chess and suggestions for enhancing our gameplay become increasingly rich and expansive. Right here, starting from his post, we have a wonderful opportunity to carry out a collective analysis of each of the games and many others. I raise a toast to the growth of chess activity within our ecosystem.
I wanted to play for a win but I couldn't find a way to move forward. I didn't want to risk it anymore and settled for a draw. Good game! :)
Indeed, it was a good game.
Thank you.
Congratulations!
