Greetings to all chess fans! Another one of my recent games from chess.com. I used the Italian Opening that led to a strong king side attack. I often see the Italian opening played by Wesley So and it inspired me to switch openings because of its attacking possibilities. This is one game where I had a strong king side attack going.
The game started with 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4 Nf6 4. d3 h6 5. h3 Bc5 6. c3 d6 7. Nbd2 O-O

I deliberately delayed castling because of Black's h pawn already advanced to h6. I was planning to push my pawns in the king side to open up the position. 8. Nf1 Re8 9. g4 Be6 10. Bb3 Bxb3 11. Qxb3 Nh7 12. Ng3 Rb8 13. Nf5 Qf6

I already like my position. Although I haven't castled yet, my pieces are trained on the opponent's King side. Once I advance the pawn on g5, it will open up. Other ideas are to castle Queen side then bring my other rook over to the g file. There are also ideas of sacrificing a piece on g7 or h6 to open the Black king's position. 14. Qd1 Ng5 15. h4 Nxf3+ 16. Qxf3 Ne7 17. g5 hxg5 18. hxg5 Qg6 19. Qh3

My queen will invade via the h file. Black cannot stop it because of my pawn on g5 guards the h6 square. It looks to be enough to win because Black's pieces cannot come to defend his king. 19. ...f6 20. gxf6 Qxf6 21. Qh8+ Kf7 22. Qh5+ Kg8 23. Bg5 g6

My bishop joins the attack while Black's king is wide open. Now it's mate in three moves. 24. Qh7+ Kf8 25. Bxf6 Ng8 26. Qg7# { White wins. } 1-0
