WEDNESDAY WALK: QUIET, GREEN AND PEACEFUL 💫
Happy Wednesday everyoneeee!
Today I decided to take a small walk around my school area instead of staying inside with my phone.......... I am in Awka, and I walked around my faculty.
My walk started from the big roadside. You can see in my first picture — tall, tall eucalyptus trees everywhere. The wind was blowing them, leaves were shaking. The road was quiet. No much cars. I just stood there for some minutes and was breathing fresh air. The sun was not too hot, just gentle is. I saw an electric pole standing alone, and the shadows of the trees on the ground. It felt very calm.
As I continued walking, I reached the small roundabout with that tall dark monument in the middle. I don't even know the full story of that statue, but it has been there for long. I noticed they pasted posters on the base — red red posters. Opposite the statue, there is a small green provision kiosk and a security post. I have passed here many times before but today I really looked. There were plenty trees providing shade. A lady was standing at the side in white shirt and checked skirt, maybe waiting for someone. I just smiled and continued.
Then I turned to my last place — That yellow and wine building. It is very big and has that high roof. I like this building because it is always cool inside. Outside there were some cars parked, my lectures car and a small boy was walking in front. The compound is tiled and very neat. White flowers planted by the side of the building. I sat there small.
What I enjoyed about this walk:
- Fresh air under the trees — in school we have many trees, so even when sun is hot, you still get shade.
- Quietness — no noise, just birds and wind.
- It cleared my head. I have been inside reading for days, this small walk made my mind free.
This walk was not long, maybe 20 minutes, but it made my day better. Sometimes we don't need to go far to enjoy Wednesday Walk. Just around your school or house is enough.
