Happy Wednesday Hivers!
My mom’s cousin’s wife passed away. Last year, her abdomen started getting bigger, so they had her checked, and they found that she had fluid accumulating in her abdomen. She also had a heart condition, and sadly, she passed away just last week.

They live in a remote village. Since we don’t have our own vehicle and we went there in the evening, my mom contacted her nephew to pick us up and take us home afterward.
We arrived at our meeting place 30 minutes early. While waiting, my mom and I looked for a bench where she could sit because she can no longer stand for long periods. Since we still had 30 minutes to wait, I told her I am going to walk around for a bit because it would be boring to just sit there with nothing to do.

While I was walking around, one of the things that caught my attention was this bougainvillea. Actually, I never really appreciated how beautiful bougainvillea could be when I was younger. But now, I really enjoy looking at them, especially when they are covered in so many blooms. Some people are also really good at maintaining their bougainvillea, which makes them look even more beautiful and eye-catching.

As I continued walking, I noticed a pomelo tree that was heavily loaded with fruit. It reminded me of back in 2020, when my younger sibling still had his restobar and hadn’t closed it yet. There was a pomelo tree growing on the property he was renting, and every time it bore fruit, it was always incredibly loaded. The fruits were also really sweet. Seeing this tree made me wonder, “I wonder if the fruits from this one are sweet too?”

As I continued walking, I eventually reached the national road, where I could see the Inopacan Municipal Hall. This is actually their new municipal hall. Behind it is the Inopacan Baywalk, but I didn’t have enough time to go there because I was worried I might be late for our meeting.

The church is also situated along the road. The Inopacan church is quite old as well, although it has already undergone some repairs and renovations. But once you step inside, you can still see that it is an old church, with its old character still preserved.
After walking around for a few minutes, I decided to go back to my mom because she might already be getting bored waiting for me.

That’s what Inopacan looks like in the late afternoon, when evening is slowly approaching. This town is not as busy or crowded as a city, which is actually what I like about it. I enjoy walking around places like this because it feels more peaceful and relaxing.

It was just a simple walk while waiting. Sometimes, you don’t really need to go somewhere special to enjoy your time; you can simply walk around and appreciate what you see.
This is my entry for #WednesdayWalk, initiated by @tatoodjay. Thanks for joining me on this simple afternoon walk around Inopacan!
Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog. Cheers!
