Walking has been part of my weekly routine even before joining here.
As a mom, a wife, and a full-time work-from-home (online freelancer), I find it boring and stressful just staying at home all day. So, I make it a point to move my legs for some exercise and make time for myself at least once a week ❤️
I’m really glad I found this community, thanks to @tattoodjay for founding it! Through this, I now have the chance to share with you all the places I’ve walked to. ❤️
Let me show you one of the places where I usually walk or even jog to calm and refresh my mind. It’s just near our house, about a 15-minute walk away.
The weather was pretty gloomy and it looked like it was about to rain, but nothing could stop me from walking. In fact, I love this kind of weather. It feels like an invitation to head straight to a cozy coffee shop and enjoy something warm, a good combination of walking then getting a coffee after.
Here’s the view just outside our house, look at that pretty flowering tree in our neighbor’s yard!
I first cashed out some money from a store to buy coffee later 😁, then headed to the main road. I passed by different kinds of plants being sold in the area,it's a spot where people sell all sorts of plants.
Crossing the street, I came across some beautiful flowers (though I don’t know their names 😁) and a small vegetable store. I thought about buying something, but remembered I still had a lot of stock at home.
After about five more minutes of walking, I arrived at the Capitol Grounds.
This place is located in Malaybalay City Province of Bukidnon, Philippines.
Bukidnon is a mountainous province in Northern Mindanao, often referred to as the “Food Basket of Mindanao” because of its rich agricultural lands and cool climate. It’s home to vast plantations of pineapple, corn, rice, sugarcane, bananas, and coffee, especially known for the Del Monte Pineapple Plantation, one of the largest in the world.
In essence, Bukidnon is a beautiful blend of agriculture, indigenous culture, nature, and adventure,a province that’s truly rich in many ways.
This is the main stage and main ground, most activities of the city is held in here, specially the famous "Kaamulan Festival" every month of May-April where there's a competition for Tribes Street Dancing.
In this pictures some students are hanging out on the ground, I don't know but it seems like some people are working something on the ground as I see there are construction vehicles afar.
Some workers are sweeping the dried leaves out on the ground too.
I’ve lived in different places, but this one is my favorite because of its accessibility. I live right in the city, and the city is just a few minutes away from breathtaking scenery, mountains, and springs. So, whenever I feel stressed, I either walk to the city to eat out or walk, jog, or have a picnic at a relaxing park. Sometimes, I even go mountain climbing or splash in springs and streams nearby.
Today, I only showed the Capitol Grounds part because the area is big, there’s so much more to see, which I’ll share in my next post. 😊
After my walk, I spotted a coffee truck nearby and treated myself to a warm cup before heading home. ❤️
That’s all for today’s walk, thanks for stopping by!
Have a nice day! ❤️
