Greetings, #WednesdayWalkers. It's been a while since I posted here because I haven't really gone for walks in a while, and one of the things I intend to do often this year is to go out a bit more compared to last year.
Last Friday, we visited a new children's park at my husband's place of work. The military primary schools where he works just opened the park last January; he kept talking about how cool the place is, and I couldn't wait to check it out. That Friday, he was on a midterm break. He finally got the time to take my son and me to see it, and it was an awesome outing, so come along and let me show you the park.
This is the road that leads to the school's administrative building, just before you make your way inside the school. We made our way close to their office building.
A close look at the mini roundabout in front of the building
just before you enter the office building. Here I was just standing in front of the office building and watching the man-made forest across the road. Those trees were planted by the previous commandant of the school a few years ago. The last time I was there, there were just sticks buried in the soil, and now they are growing so well; I can only imagine how green and beautiful that place will be in the next rainy season.
The sign stands just before we enter the park.
Welcome to Ruth Ochai, a children's park and sports center.
We made our way to the football field made of carpet grass.
Here is the stadium, not that big but not bad for a primary school football field.
And a mini, standard basketball court is not left out; one can tell the pupils in this school are in for a fun ride.
Here is the playground, consisting of the merry-go-round, a plane, a swinging stand, and a few more classical playground equipment for the amusement of the kids.
And we found ourselves in the garden; it gave me a kind of not old, not new, but a beautiful feeling when I was in this garden.
The huts are perfect for a picnic with family and friends or for two lovebirds simply enjoying each other's company.
All the sandy areas are planted with carpet grass that is yet to grow; this place will be such a beauty to behold when they grow.
I could not leave out this tiny, cute water tap used in watering the garden.
And, of course, the waste bin was placed at strategic places to keep the park tidy.
Some of the plants in the garden, most of them, are yet to grow or get plenty of leaves on the body.
The school is well-funded and subsidized by the government for the military officer's kids whose parents have made so many sacrifices for the country, and I think it's well-deserved.
This park is like my prayers answered because now my family has a favorite place where we can go from time to time for relaxing or sports activities. And if you ever find yourself on this side of the universe, NDA AFAKA, Kaduna State, Nigeria, and you need a place to chill out, I think this will be worth your time.
This will be all for today, thank you very much for your time and support.

Wow, this environment is big and spacious. It's good the government did this it's well deserving for the family of those who give so much for the country.
Yes, it's so big and well-funded; those officer's families deserve this and more for all their sacrifices for the nation.
Thank you, Uniquee, for your comment. ❣️!LUV
