And somehow not a single person on the road while I took some pictures, yay!
Hello hello once again, dear Hivers! This is crimsonwrites here, humbly signing in as I share to you dear readers about my impressions on the first day as a second-year college university student. Now ready and pack your bags, bring your lunch, suit up and let's set off!
Waking up 5:30 in the early morning where the sun's barely even out, I silenced my noisy whirry alarm on my phone and sat off of bed to stretch. Feeling quite doozy still, I dragged myself towards the kitchen and readied my lunch. Like most of us do it here, I rinse the 'ware, pour some hot water evenly on it to sterilize the thing, and wash it off after a while, before laying a bed of cooked rice set by my aunt who woke up prior to me. Afterwards I rushed to the bathroom and bathed, then I suit up, readied my stuff in the bag with the set lunch box and some water, and at approximately 6:52, I step out the door to walk my way towards the jeepney stop. Oh, and I don't forget to bring with me my headphones. Music is life.
After hitching a ride, I arrive at the gates of my university. Luckily, early morning mean no heavy traffic getting me late. The worst thing I could ever experience is getting late, because it would mean my classmates are already there sitting their seats inside the classroom, and the standing professor en front. No, I want to be there first!
Like anyone else would, I make sure arrange any displaced chair and that some things are in order. I want them to enter the classroom without seeing a load ton of disorder. But when I feel lazy sometimes, or just tired after running up flights of stairs to reach my room, I just let it be. I mean, why can't they do the same for their own seats too?
Aaaaaand soo.. the classes for today have ended! Just like that, 8 hours of my life listening to my professors and jotting down stuff on my notepads all encapsulated in one exclamatory sentence. Great! And if anyone's wondering, there weren't really lectures yet, just quick orientations and stuff to do on their subjects.
Sometimes, when classes are done and everybody's scattered and gathered around the terraced hallway, I'd rather find myself pondering on the steel railings and let my eyes take a breather by viewing the scenery before me. It's quite relaxing, especially special when it's already in the late afternoon, and the sky is grey. It's hauntingly beautiful.
And then I'm off the university gates where a lot of people are standing around and chatting with each other or waiting for a ride to hitch, and I walked towards the nearest convenience store which is just 4 blocks away to buy some snacks and cool myself down. Air conditioning inside convenience stores are like warm hugs after a long winter. Get it? Because air conditioning is chilly, and a day of school stuff is tiring and heated and.. ugh whatever. Anyways!
After the cooldown, I step out of the mall feeling my body already missing the cool air it lovingly felt, and walked my way towards the overpass with some music playing in my headphones around my neck. No, I'm not the type to take jeepneys going home everyday, and I'm not about to wear my music yet, it's still dangerous. After crossing some roads and stopping at the nearest store to buy some extra water, I arrive before the riverside boulevard.
At 3 or 4 in the afternoon, there aren't a lot of people yet walking across and around the boulevard. At around 5 and beyond into the evening hours, there'll be a lot of people jogging, taking strolls and all that stuff. Luckily, it just so happens that there's absolutely no one around, and the sky is grey. Perrrrrrfectt!!
I finally put my headphones on, and began to walk with some water on hand, and my phone on the other. And then I begin to take pictures around, of the riverside, of the boulevard road, of the little greens on the sidewalks, and of everything that looks nice and cool.
The walk is as far as 2 kilometers from home, and it takes me around 30 - 45 minutes of walking. Some others say it's just outright tiring and exhausting to be walking from school to home, considering the distance. But I think that's the thing. It's physically tiring, because it's basically free exercise after sitting ducks through 8 hours of classes. And then there's music as a cherry on top of everything. Once again, music is life!
And then after all that happy me-time walk along the riverside boulevard, I arrive before the bridge. I take my time crossing through it, watching the late afternoon traffic take course. The amount of cars stuck on the road is copious. Still, it's a nice advantage since I can cross without having to worry looking both ways. The river is such a scenic view.
I arrive at footsteps of my front door, went inside and threw my satchel aside and stuff, stood still to rest for some several minutes, changed into my home clothes, and threw myself in bed. I would either just scroll through my phone for a while, play some games, or just sleep. Playing games is honestly much better.
And that's about it for my first day of second year college! Thank you all so much for reading for a good while of my works, and as always, I hope to write and make more nice content in the future! This is crimsonwrites here, and once again, signing off...!

Its great! You’re almost halfway of your university study. Walking alone from school to home is a good thing, a free exercise you said, but please don’t do it again. I told you not to walk alone home. It is very dangerous. This is the last!
A great post well done on your studies
Thanks for joining the Wednesday walk
Have a great day
