I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 6 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! πππβ‘π₯π₯β΄οΈβ³οΈβοΈπ£π±β¨π€

Y'all know that I deeply love and believe in Hive, and that I'm all-in for the long haul here, and that I've been giving my all every day, for the Maximum Mutual Benefit of everyone, for almost 4 years now. Regardless of how much I love and believe in this Blockain, however, there still certain things that I've noticed in my time here, that both frustrate me, and which from my perspective, limit Hive's potential growth and greater adoption.
The first of these limiting factors is the fact that there is not yet any comprehensive, coherent, and streamlined framework to onboard and inboard (what happens after onboarding) newcomers to Hive. Yes, there are many initiatives to do just that, but they are so far fragmented, without much mutual support or collaboration between them, which is quite inefficient. Hive is big, with a lot of moving parts, and we need a way to effectively distill that into an easily understandable and digestible educational format that gives newcomers all the important information that they need to know.
This is one area that I've been considering how to tackle well, because I want to help make the process of onboarding and inboarding newcomers much smoother, and more efficient and effective than it presently is. That's why I mentioned the idea of creating a Hive School several posts back, and it's something that I want to do, but it's no small task, and I'm more than a little daunted to try to undertake it myself.
The second limiting factor is how often I've seen the downvote feature used poorly, or worse abusively. Yes, downvotes do have a use and a purpose, but if they're done without any communication as to the reason, especially over long periods of time, I have a problem with that. In my whole time on Hive, I've only used the downvote once or twice, in cases of obvious abuse, and I think that's how they should be used, to help protect the integrity of our Blockchain. I don't downvote people because I disagree with their perspectives, or because I don't like their posts or comments. I use it only to counter that which I see as actually harmful to the Blockchain and its community.
Very sadly, I've seen a lot of really amazing people leave Hive (often going to Blurt, which has no downvote feature) after having their posts zeroed out for extended periods. I'm noticing lately that seemingly increasing numbers of Hivers are having their posts downvoted, and often again with no communication as to why. Some of those being downvoted are going out of their way to educate and onboard people and businesses in their local communities to Hive, while others are contributing greatly to building on the Blockchain, so these downvotes seem very inappropriate, and I'd say that they are indeed directly harming Hive's potential growth and development. There has to be a better way, perhaps a new implementation of the downvote feature that includes the necessity of giving a reason for the downvote, and some form of community oversight to negate those downvotes that are truly unwarranted.
Yesterday, Monday, I left the Flow House, after wrapping up my Hive tasks, a little after 2PM, feeling drawn to go sunbathe on the trampoline in the Peanut Lawn for a while first. After feeling well sunned, I went to chop and dump bad/used coconuts at the upper coco bar, and to tidy the area a bit. When I had that done, I headed to the Landing to strain out another (successful) experimental batch of kefir fermented in blended coconut meat and coconut water, blend it with various ingredients to make it taste yummy, and then collect more coconut meat and coconut water, to blend with some raw honey, to ferment another round. Once I finished with kefir, I collected my jar of superfood fire coffee from the fridge, and I made my way back to the Flow House, to begin my evening Hive tasks, and to catch up on my notifications. I had to pause that for a while to go attend the Monday community logistics meeting, and as soon as it ended, I returned to the Flow House to get back to Hive. I got everything done by just before 10PM, and after some asset management, and a scan of my X feed, I went to bed just before 12AM. I woke up around 7:15AM, having slept well, doing more asset management, going to make my superfood fire coffee in the Landing, then returning to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just before 12:30PM, so a marvelous time to wrap this up, so that I may get to my few other important Hive tasks, before leaving the Flow House a little later in the afternoon, to focus first on photography for my posts, and then community/land work. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until tomorrow's iteration of these posts! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! πππβ¨π€
1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.

Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! πππβ¨π€

Do you know that globally, around fourteen million kids have never received a vaccine? They are also known as Zero Dose children. Conflict & instability of a country, disrupted supply, lack of access to the shots, and misinformation about vaccines are contributing factors for this. Here is a short video on this!

The Gaia yoga garden is very beautiful to look at. There is a beautiful collection of various types of plants and trees here. Also, your contribution to this garden in four years is really great. Only I believe in your languages wholeheartedly. The hive platform really helps us all to experience and travel. Only after coming here, I have gained different experiences in nature and various subjects. Which can really be said to be a great teacher of life. Not weak, only courage brings peace to all of our lives. Patience and tranquility are neither less than either. Thank you for sharing this wonderful garden, wonderful nature, plants and platform with all of us.
Above all, I pray to the great creator for your beautiful life. Also, I hope that you will spend your coming days with such a beautiful life. Nature and trees are your dear friends and my dear friends, which I always believe are the water of my heart.
Best regards @mdakash62

The downvote is a powerful tool that should be used responsibly and judiciously, not as a means to silence opinions or unfairly penalize.
Protecting the integrity of the blockchain and fostering a healthy environment in the community is key, and it's good to know that there are those who value its proper use.
