I Am Alive and Thriving — A Visit to the Mechanic Workshop

Good day everyone. Yesterday, I decided to step out of my house to see what was happening around the streets. The first place I stopped was the mechanic workshop close to my house. Because of the hot weather, I sat under a shade tree to cool off.

I’ve always had an interest in getting a mini bus for myself because transportation in Urbana City is a very lucrative business. So while sitting there, I joined different conversations from the city drivers, and honestly, everything they discussed was interesting.

My first question was about the cost of a mini bus. They told me the price of a brand-new one and also the lowest amount I could get a Belgian (tokunbo) bus for. Oh my goodness! it was expensive, but still something one can manage to buy.

Now that I have the information I needed about the prices of both new and fairly-used buses, I started making calculations to see if it’s something I can actually afford. And the answer is yes!

I didn’t go further with the process yesterday, but I came back home to organize things… because this dream is one that needs to be fulfilled soon.
