Took My Father for a Short Trip | Alive and Thriving on Jan 22, 2025

Hi there. How are you? I hope you are doing great. Welcome to my short diary on Wednesday, January 22, 2024!

It was another day at home with my parents and other family members. In the morning, I had a long second round of sleep. After the breakfast, I played with my kid because my nephew went to his school. Then, a technician came to install the water heater (electric geyser) that we brought from the Dhaka home. It cost me 3350 BDT (~$27.5).

In my last post, I mentioned that my father is quite sick and can't move alone. However, he wished to go out to meet some of his acquaintances. So, I hired a battery-driven auto rickshaw. We went out in the afternoon. He met some of his old buddies. We visited two places. We returned before the sunset.

It was another restful day without any physical activities. However, the eating spree is going on smoothly :P Hence, I am surely gaining weight gradually!

Okay. That's all for today. I am alive, healthy, and thriving, alhamdulillah. How about you?

It's really thoughtful of you to make that effort for your father.
I'm sure meeting his old friends and going out must have brought him a lot of joy.
It's moments like these that mean so much.
I hope he's feeling a bit better now.

It is very nice that your Father got to visit with his old friends, it is something I am sure he will always cherish and so sweet of you to take him.

You will not find a water heater in the USA that cheap, you will pay 4 to 6 hundred dollars for it here.

Your parents live in a beautiful place, it is much better than where you work. Thanks for posting the pictures.

They are living in the original village! However, it gradually gets the flavor of urbanization!

The price I mentioned, was the installation charge. The buying cost was around 8000 BDT (~$66) around 2 years back. I think it's still cheaper!

Thanks for stopping by!

If it wasn't for window blinds...
It'd be curtains for all us.
