School, Exam and Raining, IIAC - Day 861

The mid-year exams have begun, and today marked the second exam. The first exam was held on Monday, followed by a holiday. Each exam has at least one holiday before and after its scheduled day. It has been raining for the past two to three days, with continuous rainfall since last evening, leading to worsening conditions and waterlogging issues. In light of the heavy rain, local authorities issued a notice for all schools to remain closed. Consequently, Gurseerat went to school this morning but returned home by 10:30 AM, as today’s exam was also postponed. This season has witnessed some of the heaviest rains in our state in recent years, affecting over 1,300 villages that have experienced flooding due to the rains in the mountains. We hope the situation improves in the coming days as the rain is expected to subside.

अर्धवार्षिक परीक्षाएँ शुरू हो गई हैं और आज दूसरी परीक्षा थी। पहली परीक्षा सोमवार को हुई थी, उसके बाद छुट्टी थी। प्रत्येक परीक्षा के निर्धारित दिन से पहले और बाद में कम से कम एक छुट्टी होती है। पिछले दो-तीन दिनों से बारिश हो रही है, कल शाम से लगातार बारिश हो रही है, जिससे हालात बिगड़ गए हैं और जलभराव की समस्या हो गई है। भारी बारिश को देखते हुए स्थानीय अधिकारियों ने सभी स्कूलों को बंद रखने का नोटिस जारी किया है। नतीजतन, गुरसीरत आज सुबह स्कूल गई थी लेकिन 10:30 बजे तक घर लौट आई, क्योंकि आज की परीक्षा भी स्थगित कर दी गई थी। इस मौसम में हमारे राज्य में हाल के वर्षों में सबसे भारी बारिश हुई है, जिससे 1,300 से अधिक गाँव प्रभावित हुए हैं, जहाँ पहाड़ों में बारिश के कारण बाढ़ आ गई है। हमें उम्मीद है कि आने वाले दिनों में स्थिति में सुधार होगा क्योंकि बारिश कम होने की उम्मीद है।
