Kids will always prioritize playtime, if you let them, they could easily play the entire day. Gurseerat is no exception, She was so engrossed in her games yesterday evening that she completely forgot about a pending project she needed to submit. By the time she realized it after dinner, it was too late to start, as she needed to get to bed to wake up on time for school. I suggested she request a one-day extension from her teacher, and I really hope she gets it.
Lately, she has also developed a fascination with pottery. It started during a recent visit to a friend's home where she played with a toy pottery machine. Of course, kids are so dynamic that their interests can change overnight. Even when she is just in the garden, she was busy building castles out of mud and sand. Yesterday, she tried to show me her latest creation, but unfortunately, someone had destroyed it before we got there. She was sad for a moment, but then quickly told me, "No problem, I will just build it again tomorrow." That kind of resilience is truly inspiring.

आजकल उसमें मिट्टी के बर्तन बनाने (पोटरी) का भी काफी शौक जागा है। इसकी शुरुआत हाल ही में एक दोस्त के घर जाने के दौरान हुई, जहाँ वह मिट्टी के बर्तन बनाने वाली एक खिलौना मशीन से खेल रही थी। बेशक, बच्चे इतने ऊर्जावान और परिवर्तनशील होते हैं कि उनकी पसंद रातों-रात बदल सकती है! यहाँ तक कि जब वह बगीचे में होती है, तब भी वह मिट्टी और रेत से किले बनाने में व्यस्त रहती है। कल उसने मुझे अपनी बनाई हुई एक कलाकृति दिखाने की कोशिश की, लेकिन दुर्भाग्य से हमारे वहाँ पहुँचने से पहले ही किसी ने उसे तोड़ दिया था। वह एक पल के लिए उदास हुई, लेकिन फिर तुरंत मुझसे कहा, "कोई बात नहीं, मैं इसे कल फिर से बना लूँगी।" बच्चों की ऐसी सहनशक्ति और फिर से कोशिश करने का जज़्बा वाकई प्रेरणादायक है।
