The Weirdest Food Combinations I Ever Tried Contest # 6

(edited)

This contest is pretty fun beacuse i have a short list of my weird food combinations. I am a foodie person...i and loge to try new things. When favours didn't match my vibe then I make my own weird combinations.

Everyone has some weird food combinations that they secretly love, but they are scared to tell anyone because people will judge them. I also have my top 3, and trust me, they sound weird when you hear them, but they taste amazing.

What Is The Weird Combination?

My No. 1: Knorr Chatpata Noodles with KFC Fried Chicken Wings. This is my favorite and my most weird combination. I know it sounds crazy. Noodles and fried chicken? But hear me out.

How Did I discovered It?

I was once very hungry in the hostel. I had one packet of Knorr Chat Pata Noodles and I also had 2 pieces of leftover KFC wings from the night before, which I had kept in the fridge. I didn't have time to make two different things. So I thought, why not mix them?

I made the Chatpata noodles as usual, spicy and tangy, with that special chatpata masala. Then I took the cold KFC wings and cut them into small pieces with a knife, with the crispy coating still on. I mixed those crispy chicken pieces into my hot noodles.

I became Obsessed With This Combination

The result was unbelievable. The tangy, sour and spicy taste of the Chatpata noodles mixed with the crispy, salty and juicy KFC chicken. The KFC coating became a little soft in the noodles, but still had a little crunch. Every bite was full of flavor. It was like desi noodles met American fried chicken. From that day, whenever I have KFC and noodles together, I always do this.

My Sisters Reaction

My sister first said "eww, what are you doing?" but after she tasted one spoon, she also loved it. It is not just food, it is a full meal. If you love Chat Pata noodles, you have to try this once. Don't eat the wings separately, just cut and mix them. You will thank me later.

My No. 2 Weird Combination: Fresh Paratha with Omelette, Pickle and Nimko / Lays

This is my classic hostel and home combination. This is not just food, it is an emotion for every Pakistani student.

When I am at home, my mother makes fresh, hot, ghee wala paratha. And with that, a soft omelette with onions and green chilies. Normally people eat paratha and omelette with pickle or chutney. But I add one more thing — Nimko or Lays. My favorite is Nimko mix or Lays Masala.

So I make a roll. I put the omelette inside the paratha, add a small spoon of mango pickle (achar), and then crush a handful of Nimko or Lays on top and roll it tightly. When you take a bite, first you get the softness of paratha and omelette, then the spicy and tangy kick of the pickle, and then suddenly CRUNCH from the Nimko or Chips. My mouth is literally watering now...hahaha

That crunch makes the whole thing so much more fun. It is like a desi breakfast taco. It is quick, it is cheap, and it is so filling. When I have no vegetables or curry at home, this is my go-to. My mother says, What is this way of eating? but she also smiles because I finish the whole paratha. This combination is best for those days when you don't want to eat boring food. It is breakfast, but it feels like a snack.

My No. 3: Roti with Malai (Fresh Cream) and Chat Masala

This is my most innocent and weird combination, and it is from my childhood.

In our home, we boil fresh milk every day, and on top of it, there is a thick layer of malai. Most people eat malai with sugar on roti. I also used to eat it like that. But one day there was no sugar in the kitchen. I wanted to eat malai roti. I saw chat masala on the table. I thought, let's try it.

I took a hot, fresh roti, spread a thick layer of fresh, cold malai on it, and sprinkled a good amount of chat masala on top. I rolled it and ate it.It was amazing! The malai is creamy, soft, and a little bland. But when you add chat masala, it becomes tangy, salty, and spicy. It tastes like a creamy, spicy cheese spread. It is so simple but so delicious. It doesn't need any cooking. It is my midnight snack. When I am studying late at night in the hostel and I feel hungry, I make this with leftover roti. It takes 30 seconds.

People think it is weird because malai is supposed to be sweet, not salty. But trust me, try malai and chat masala once, you will forget malai and sugar.

My 4th Weird Combination Is Chilled Cola With Chilled Chocolate Cake

This one is the craziest one. My sisters used to say me...cake is weet and cola fades its sweetess ..how can you even take one bite this way. But for me the taste becomes heaven. Hahaha.i don't remember how i discovered it but still it is my favorite one.

So these are my top weird food combinations. They might sound strange to you, but for me, they are comfort foods. They remind me of my hostel life, my home, and my experiments when I am hungry and creative. Sometimes the best dishes are not from recipes, they are from mixing what you have and making something new.
