The Weirdest Food Combination I Ever Tried: contest #6

Hello wonderful people if hive.

Have you ever tasted a food combination, and you start questioning yourself right from the very first spoon or bite on why you tried it?

Well, I have tried it, you know sometimes, curiosity can make you try something you will avoid on a normal day. But in my own case, it wasn't curiosity, it was another human who offered me that weird food combo.So I want to talk about the food combination I have tried and would never try it again.

It's plain Rice and Melon soup.

The thing is, rice is a staple food for Nigerian homes, and all my life as a Nigerian, I had only paired plain rice with Tomatoes stew, egg sauce, pepper soup and chicken curry sauce.

But on that particular day, I decided to try rice with melon soup, and oh! My taste buds and I didn't reach an agreement. I have only known that melon soup can only be paired with swallow and not with rice.

My friends find it funny that someone could have a problem with that combo, because to them, it's very normal and delicious.

But that's the thing about food, what tastes so good for someone might be a problem to another.

I'm not saying that anyone who enjoys plain rice with Melon soup is eating a wrong food, the thing is that, that combo isn't for me, I have tried it once,and I won't try it again.I'd rather stick to the pairs I know.I should not be experimenting with my plate of food.

After all, there are food combos I can enjoy without forcing myself to agree with every combo I come across.

And for someone like me who is a picky eater, if I try a combination and my taste buds doesn't agree with the taste, I will never try it again.

Someone even said that on judgement day, God will use three working days to judge the person that discovered rice and melon soup combo. And all I could say is, I feel your pains bro.....
