Who's taking it

"Now don't blame it on the inventors" I don't know why I had to start with that statement above but then I've started already so there is no point going and changing what I've written and you know why "because it's forward ever".

A little story: so there was a day my sister wasn't feeling too well, she had cough that had lasted for some days and she had tried taking pills but it seems like it was working like it would have, so we decided to try something else and that is "a syrup" and I've heard of a particular cough syrup that does the work perfectly and faster.

So, I browsed it online because I had forgotten the name, a little, "yeah just a little," because the moment I saw the first letters, the whole name came back into my head, and that was it. So I went to the pharmacy and told them what I wanted. After mentioning the name of the syrup, everyone inside the pharmacy turned to me like I had done something bad or maybe they never met a mighty female like me before "joking about the mighty female".

I thought the person didn't hear me, so I had to repeat myself, and this time around, I didn't shout it "my tone dropped a little" maybe it sounded like me whispering though. Then the salesperson was like "I need a doctor's prescription" At that moment I didn't know what was going on again, I had to explain and convince her that my sister was having a severe cough and needed the medication.

I talked about the other options we've tried, then she was like go see the doctor" I saw the doctor and explained to him as well. Then someone finally believed me "the doctor" so he prescribed the syrup for me and that was how I left that pharmacy with that medication. You might be wondering "Why this long story" Well, I'm trying to get to a point here.

I heard that some young people use that particular drug for something else, which is the reason they don't sell it without a doctor's prescription. Now the inventor produced that drug for a particular reason and that is "to heal severe and chronic cough" but then the perpetrators tried it and noticed another function of it. I think it gets them high and they like that feeling, so instead of taking alcohol or a drug that will get them high, they would just purchase this particular drug, since its medication. And then they've forgotten that every drug has side effects, even the least paracetamol we take.

Inventors are creating something new everyday which is beneficial to the world at large but then these inventions are being used wrongly by people. Just like social media which was created for people from all over the world to connect. Social media made it possible for people to connect to the world from the comfort of their homes. Today what is happening to that same thing that was supposed to connect the world "people are using it to perform fraudulent acts on others".

Now the big questionis "who do we blame" because in everything that is happening, someone has to take the blame right? Or should I blame the invention itself "What am I even saying"Blaming the invention would also mean blaming the inventors why because the invention wouldn't be in existence without the inventors. I think I'm gonna blame both parties because inventors create things for the benefit of the people but then humans are so smart to the point that they find their way around things.

Thanks for reading 🧡

Yeah. The person in that pharmacy is very correct because people use some cough serup to harm themselves and so you can't easily buy it in the market.

Exactly, blaming the invention and the inventors is the right thing to do. At times I used to sit down and think of how humans would turn things that were created for a particular purpose to another purpose, which might be good or harmful to the body. Hmm. Thank you for sharing

I don't think I will blame inventors, they created or invented for the benefit of mankind, we find a way to use it for another purpose is actually on us the users.
