Remote Work: Here to Stay or Just a Passing Trend?

In recent years working from home has been gaining lots of momentum, and at this very point in time it's as though almost half of the world is working from home. And that's due to the innovation brought in by technology and the likeness of today's kind of work, which is obviously different from when the workforce usually demanded more physical manpower, even intelligence, skills and the like. But then seeing the situation of the labour market and how it seems to be heading towards a downward slope, do you think remote jobs would be able to stand the test of time? Or should we just be envisioning a future where everyone will have to start going back to their workplace to get the job down?

As a technologically incline Individual, I'll like to start by say that the overwhelmed chaos going on in the labor market, can't lead to the downfall of remote jobs, if at all anything can eradicate the pace at which majority of jobs are clamouring for their staffs to work from home, it'll be the decline or total destruction of technology and not the labor market crisis, but then we must recognise the fact that it'll still affect it and organizations that don't have strong footing will feel it effect and might want to make certain adjustments like calling that their staff working from home to come to the physical office more frequently.

But then, I believe without any atom of doubt that in as much we still have technology and more innovation are surfacing by the day, then remote jobs will keep swearing high and be on demand, because when you talks about working remotely from home, then it means such staffs must be someone who's knowledgeable about the use of technological devices. Take for instance someone who wants to work from home for an organisation must have amazing digital skills and be able to get the job done at a fast pace. So digital literacy, in my opinion, is just the key or pass to getting or retaining your remote jobs in the future, because with the way the world is going, knowledge will increase, and so will demand for those things. You have to keep learning to stay relevant wherever you find yourself.

Regardless of if you work from home or not, at one point in time or another, depending on the nature of your jobs or what you do for the organisation, your attention will surely be on demand at the physical office of your organisation, and when that happens, it doesn't mean working from home is about to be eradicated; it only means you're giving a report, giving an account or doing something else that brings about progress to the organisation.

And we can't forget the benefits of working from home in a hurry, seeing how there's a high cost of living and an increase in the price of transportation. Allowing staff to work from home helps individuals avoid some of the dangers that play out when you're at your workplace and home. We also have to forget how it helps cut the cost of transportation and the like. I know the labour market is going through a crisis, but with excellent digital skills, you'll be able to retain your remote jobs and not get tangled in the drama happening around.
