There's no doubt that humans are one of the most complicated creatures we've had here on earth, not complicated because they're all shades of bad, but because of some of the things we do or how they act. Some of these things are so ridiculous, and that's why I said humans are somewhat complicated. You can imagine knowing how you as an individual will know something usually has a terrible effect on you, and yet you'll continue doing it; it's just unthinkable. I'm no exception in this regard because I'm also a victim of a few, and that's why in this article I'll be writing about some of those things that, although they are bad for me, I still find myself doing.

When talking about things I knew were bad for me, I found myself going back to them over and over again. Number one on that list for me is the use of hands-free, or should I call it earpiece. I'm sure you might wonder what the big deal is about using hands-free or what could possibly be bad about using it. Well, the thing is that it's actually bad for me. For about two years now I've been having some form of irritation in my ears, to the point where it seems like I've had a partial blockage in my ears and could barely hear when people talk to me from a distance, unless they are close to me or touch me.
It was so bad that I had to visit the hospital, and the doctor had to check the inside of my ear, after which ear syringe cleaning was done to flush out the dirt in my ear. I was also asked to use eardrops and was given a prescription for medicine to use. I did as I was told; it subsided for some months, after which it came back. The doctor advised me again against using earpieces or staying in a place with too much noise, but how can I possibly do that when I work as a teacher and have students making noise around me? To keep my head sane at times, I had to run to earpieces for their noise cancellation features and the like.
So you can say that even though I know using hands-free is very bad for me, still I find a way to keep using it, although it's for my sanity, but then I know it also can affect my ear and hearing further. I don't know how to go about things, but even though it affects me negatively, I still use it, and to be honest, I actually enjoy it. I actually love using earpieces; there are lots of times when I want to keep what I'm about to listen to to just myself, and using the phone speaker will make it loud for everyone to hear, and that's why I love using earpieces despite knowing it's bad.

The thing is I know it's bad, and I still use it. It's worth knowing that I only use it a few times. Like when I'm trying to listen to confidential audio messages or watch a movie in the staff room or on school premises that are almost always noisy, I really hope things won't go out of control.

Oh my, I thought I was the only one.😂
Sometimes I feel as though I’m losing my sense of hearing but this world is too crazy to not use my AirPods.
The trick I use now is making sure to not make the volume high enough to damage my ears.
