Happiness Beyond Financial Abundance

Every single one of us wants to live a happy life, but then the world we live in seems to be enveloped with the opinion that money is one of the keys to happiness, with which I'm not in agreement, but then I can't neglect the fact that the absence of money can bring about sadness, which is a literal insight to the fact that happiness is wanting in such a place. How then can we live life to the fullest, enjoy our life, and still remain happy when we don't have in abundance what the world deems as the key to happiness? Below I'll state my take on these.

In my opinion, when it comes to how we can stay grounded in this world of ours that's conformed to the ideal that money is the only key to happiness and so they need to keep chasing it, how we can stay grounded isn't just one thing; it's a combination of many habits that I'll be talking about. First is the need to be content. Being contented doesn't mean you lack ambition or the desire to grow; being contented is to be fine and grateful with what you have, so in order for us to not become like everyone else, we must practice contentment while still being ambitious with our goals.

Second is the need to avoid unnecessary comparison with others. This is very common amongst humans; we tend to ignore what we've or are blessed with and focus our gaze on what others have, and in doing that, we tend to overlook or underappreciate what we also have, and that's why if we don't want to conform to the ideology of our society that's driven by the pursuit of more money, we must stop unnecessary comparison and come to the understanding that everyone's timeline is different; what a person has that you want to kill yourself just to get is what you'll get easily when your time comes. Be patient in waiting.

Thirdly, on these paths is the need to define what ENOUGH means to us, and that's because it's not until we understand what the word "enough" means to us that we will be able to escape the circle of endless pursuit of money. Some people don't have a limit; they just want more and won't take a break because they want to be better than the next, while someone who has defined enough for themselves would be contented once they're what will sustain their family. Also, we must learn to prioritize relationships, our peace, health, and purpose alongside our pursuit of money; only then will we not give money more importance than other highlighted aspects of our lives.

Conclusively, in order to stay grounded in our world plagued with the chase for more money so we can have and live a happier life despite not following the trend, we must also learn to rest when necessary; taking a break shouldn't be a luxury. We need to be in a perfect state of health to live a happy life, and that's why we must learn to take a break regularly so we can regain our strength and be able to give our all in every aspect of our lives. Survival in life shouldn't cost us our lives; life is meant to be enjoyed, not endured, so be wise.

Hmm.. you see that thing called contentment, it is one of the most effective medicine to keep one grounded in little or in much, even though many mistake it for being complacent. When we are grateful for whatever we have while we strive for the best, life would be very easy for us..
