Occasionally I take a moment to reflect upon the peculiar time we are living in.
We can communicate with someone around the world in a matter of seconds.
Our phones can give us virtually any information.
We have the machines able to do things which were once thought to be impossible.
But still people feel tired, unconnected, anxious and overwhelmed.
When people ask me, if this is the “best era”? I have no instant answer to give.
Which in many respects is true, this is indeed the most sophisticated period of human history and in many ways.
But emotionally?
Mentally?
Socially?
I believe there's a more complex answer.
By the technology standards, this is a remarkable period of time.
Nowadays there's tons of information.
There's no need to go to a classroom to learn cybersecurity, finance, design, programming, or business.Someone from Nigeria can learn cybersecurity, finance, design, programming, and/or business without leaving home and entering a traditional classroom. Once exclusive opportunities for certain countries and wealthy households are now more available.
Even health, communications, transportation and business has gone through a tremendous transformation and Our forefathers would be amazed at how we live today and how different it would seem to them.
But, of course they would not be wrong.

But I believe that this era brings its own stress, not seen at this level in previous generations.
All the action is moving at a good clip these days.
Too fast sometimes.
Comparisons are a thing of everyday life online. People's attention is becoming shorter. Rest almost feels like a crime since everyone is looking for productivity, success, visibility and relevance.
Peace, even peace is difficult to attain.
What I sometimes like about the older generations is the simplicity of their lives.
Not because life was easier (it was not!)
There was a feeling of sluggishness in there life though..
There was a more purposeful discussion. The need to constantly “perform” in public was lessened.
So Many people have some moments today which are only half because their mind is already at work on how to share them on social media.
That is a reflection of the Era we live in.
But personally, this is my favorite period to be in, I still think I would have rather been here than anywhere else.
Not because it’s perfect.
However, due to the possibility.
In the midst of all the chaos these are opportunities that 100 years ago would have seemed impossible.
It is possible to create a career, business, brand, or audience from a phone and internet connection.
Access at that level is high-powered.
I believe that this time is more self-aware than any previous one.
In fact, technology is helpful, but can be all-consuming if not used wisely.
There's no point in spending hours scrolling because It's possible to fall into the trap of getting addicted to validation without even realizing it.
Being disconnected from the real world and connected online at all times is more free now, but at the same time requires more discipline.
But as for the one thing that I'd like to steal from the older times... it would be the more relaxed pace of life.
The ability to take a break without feeling guilty.
The greater sense of community.
How people appreciated being present more than competing.
I believe that modern life could be influenced by that!
Is this the best of all times, then?
Probably yes, in terms of opportunity and advancement in life.
When it comes to peace of mind, human connection, and simplicity, though I'm not sure, but I believe that with every age there are blessings and challenges.
Our ancestors had to face survival problems which we cannot even imagine. We aren't facing problems that they've never faced psychologically and socially.
Different struggles.
Different advantages.
In the end, I'm happy that I was born in this century.
But I also believe we need to be mindful not to obsess over progress, forget how to live in it.
If the people aren't mentally strong enough to enjoy the most advanced world, it's of little use to have one at all.

One thing that surprises me the most is that,in this era we have improved medicine and all manner of vaccination but still, life expectancy is far worse than it used to be. It makes you wonder what exactly is going wrong, since we are getting the best out of everything now, should people not be living longer.
Valid point,I wonder what could be wrong actually it's somehow
Each era has its ups and downs. No doubt if it is technology, we are better. Our age is fast, easy and advanced but if we are to talk to about good life, our ancestors really had great times
